Many people underestimate the importance of having a built-in clock inside the car radio.
Yes, you can see time on your phone as well. But it wouldn’t be safe to do so while you’re driving. And many times phone’s battery gets fully drained if you’re on a long journey.
Under such circumstances, being able to see the time right on your car radio can be handy.
Although the time on such clocks is mostly accurate, it can get out of sync due to several issues such as an old battery, loose ignition, or a blown fuse.
Whatever the issue is, changing the time on a JVC radio is not too lengthy. All you need to do is follow the steps below.
How to Change Time on JVC Radio
If you’ve ever reset a JVC car radio, you’ll know that this process varies from one model to another. The same goes for setting the clock. That is why I have listed this procedure for some of the popular JVC models down below.
How to Change Time on JVC KW-R930BTS
- Press and hold the menu button on the bottom-right corner of the screen.
- Turn the volume knob until there’s the ‘Clock’ option on the screen.
- Press the knob to select this option.
- Again, turn the knob until you see ‘Adjust Clock‘ on the screen.
- Press the knob again to select this option.
- Now you’ll see the current time on the screen in hh:mm format.
- Turn the knob to make adjustments to the ‘hour’ value and then press it.
- Similarly, turn the knob to adjust the ‘minutes’ value and then press it.
- You can make similar adjustments to the clock format and date in the clock section.
How to Change Time on JVC KD-R200
- There’s a row of buttons in the bottom area. The left-most button in this row is the ‘SEL’ button. Press and hold the SEL button.
- A new menu will appear on the screen.
- Toggle between these options, using either left/right buttons or volume knob, until you see the ‘CLOCK H’ option on the screen.
- Select this option to access the current time.
- Now make adjustments in the hour/minutes values through the knob. Then press the SEL button again to lock in that time.
How to Change Time on JVC KD-R370
- Press and hold the right-most button on the bottom corner of the screen. This button will have a ‘cog’ sign labeled over it.
- A new menu will appear on the screen.
- Toggle between these options using the volume knob until you see the ‘CLOCK’ option on the screen. Press the knob to select this option.
- Now you will get different clock-related options.
- Turn the knob until you see the ‘CLOCK SET‘ option. Press the knob to select this option.
- Make adjustments to the values corresponding to Days, hours, and minutes and then press the knob to lock in the new time.
- You can make similar adjustments to the time format from this menu.
- Turn the knob to the ’24H/12H’ option and then press the knob.
- Toggle between these two formats by turning the knob.
- Then press the knob when you’ve selected your desired format.
- Press the ‘cog’ button on the bottom-right corner to exit.
How to Change Time on JVC KW-V850BT
- Press the ‘FNC’ button.
- A new menu will appear on the screen.
- Tap on the ‘Home’ option.
- Some new options will appear. Tap on the ‘Settings’ option.
- Then tap on ‘User Interface’.
- A new list will appear with different options. Tap on the ‘Clock’ option.
- By default, it’ll be set to RDS-Sync, meaning the time will be automatically synchronized. But you can also set it to manual and have a different time.
- Touch the ‘Time Zone’ option and select your time zone.
- Touch the ‘Clock Adjust’ option.
- Now you can adjust the date as well as time though ^ and ∨ symbols below each of them.
- Now touch the ‘set’ button.
